Business development for CEZ

In 2004, after a successful acquisition in Bulgaria, CEZ, Czech largest energy company, established their interest in acquisitions in the energy sector in Romania. They approached us to help with the identification of the targets, and to assist in the process, since they were lacking the local knowledge and connections. We provided CEZ with a comprehensive study on the most suitable assets for acquisition, we presented the particularities of the privatisation program in Romania, with details on the decision making process, and we organised various meetings for CEZ representatives with the relevant people. We helped CEZ to increase awareness of their name and intentions in Romania. CEZ has successfully completed the acquisition of Electrica Oltenia, one of the major electricity distribution companies in Romania, and is now bidding for more assets in the sector.
