Focus: Fund raising – grants, non-reimbursable funds, EU funding

Valeriu brings to our team more than seven years of experience in EU funding related activities, with focus on project management.  He had been involved in fund raising, implementation and evaluation of various European projects.  Since 2001, Valeriu has been responsible for the development of various projects financed under the framework of different European Programmes, including Phare.  His role included drafting of documentations for obtaining the financing.  

Before joining our team, Valeriu worked as Senior Regional Projects Consultant with the Regional Development Agency of the Western Region (RDA), an institution involved in management of Structural Funds as an intermediate body for the Regional Operational Programme.  During his three-year spell with the RDA, Valeriu became familiar with the procedures of implementing European projects and acquired extensive theoretical and practical knowledge on Structural Funds.  His expertise is essential for identification of funding opportunities, preparation of application forms, implementation of projects (including public procurement and technical reporting) and project evaluation.   

Valeriu holds a MA degree in Political Science from the Central European University, Budapest and a BA degree in Philosophy from the West University of Timisoara.
